Owl cottage is a contemporary, warm, and welcoming cottage set in a large garden and with ample parking. It boasts two patios equipped with a 6 person hot tub (sole use of cottage), separate games room, gas BBQ, outside eating, outside seating and fire pit.
A 7.4kWh wall mounted EV charge is available (payable via an App).
Daylight floods into the property with the large bi-fold door that open out from the living room onto one of the patios connecting the inside with the outside way of life.
Pale washed wooden floors with sumptuous rugs against the grey modern lounge sofa combine with the log burner to make a truly warm and relaxing living space. There is a scandi style glass dining table with feature pendant lights creating a perfect space for enjoying family meal times. Curl up in the living room and watch a film on the large screen smart TV or simply relax and take a moment to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
A contemporary gloss white fully equipped kitchen with a quartz worktop and induction hob provides a perfect place to prepare dinners of locally sourced food. A separate utility room is home to the washing machine and tumble dryer ensuring the functional chores are kept separate.
The cottage boasts 2 contemporary bathrooms both with counter top basins and electric heated towel rails to keep the towels soft and dry. The downstairs shower room (walk-in shower) is located for easy access upon return from the beach / hot tub via the side door of the property. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with a shower over for those long bubble filled soaks after a day out on the beach.
The two bedrooms are beautifully decorated with a hint of colour and soft faux fur throws for those colder evenings. Enjoy a good night’s sleep on the deep high-quality mattresses and relax onto a feather pillow. Bedroom one has a king size bed and bedroom two has two single beds. A sofa bed is also provided in one end of the downstairs living area. This is not integral to the dining and main seating area and can easily be left as a bed for the duration of your stay without any impact on your overall use of the living area.
Many little touches have been added to provide a holiday experience that takes the weight off your shoulders and allows you to relax and unwind. There is a dry robe for everyone to ensure you are warm to and from the hot tub or ideal for changing on the beach and staying warm after the dip in sea. A selection of beach items are provided: buckets/spades, body-boards, beach boules set, bat & ball set and crabbing lines for those days spent in Padstow crabbing off the harbour walls. For the more energetic a football goal and basketball net are provided in the garden for your return after a day out.
Final Details...
It should be noted that the property does have a very small stream running down one side of the garden and across the bottom of the garden. The water is very shallow at the bottom of a small drop. Our own house is situated nearby which has a large pond. This is completely separate to Owl Cottage but we feel our guests should be made aware of it.
A public right of way runs across the very bottom of the garden into the field beyond. This is however, very rarely used.
Please note: The hot tub is for sole use of the cottage. It is drained and cleaned between every let to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. Every effort will be made to ensure it is up to temperature by your arrival but due to the water heating time it may (in some very rare cases) mean it won't be ready for use until the morning after your arrival.
Please note: The hob is an induction hob and therefore, may not be suitable for use by a person fitted with a pacemaker.
